An defence official has confirmed that the Ministry of Defence is actively investigating the potential threats associated with Chinese-made vehicles, and personnel have been advised to refrain from discussing secret matters in any vehicles.

In a recently aired appearance on a radio station, Luke Pollard addressed claims that MoD officials have been instructed not to discuss secret material while riding in Chinese vehicles.
The minister stated that the ministry is “examining” cars from China within its fleets, but stressed that safety is a concern in all modern vehicles.
Our department has a fleet of tens of thousands of cars in the MoD and those vehicles account for a tiny fraction.
